Every day, your customers search Google for exactly what you offer. The question is whether your website shows up when they do, or whether they find a competitor instead. Search engine optimization (SEO) is how a Homer Glen business gets found in those free results. A2Z MKTG provides organic SEO services for local businesses across Homer Glen, Naperville, Joliet, and the surrounding Chicagoland suburbs. Every Starter, Standard, and Premium website we build launches with SEO built in. Our Organic Growth plan then keeps building on it, month after month.

SEO That Builds Real, Lasting Visibility, Not Just a Traffic Spike
Paid ads stop the moment you stop paying. Organic SEO builds rankings that hold and grow over time. Done right, search engine optimization becomes one of the lowest-cost sources of steady leads a Homer Glen business can have. As an organic SEO agency, we build the technical side and the content into your site from the start. That way your results rest on a base that lasts.
What a Professional SEO Firm Fixes First
Before content can help, your site has to be sound under the hood. We build that in before launch. Then we keep watching for slow pages, broken links, and pages Google can't read. Those problems quietly hold your rankings back.
Content Built Around What Your Customers Search
We don't guess at topics. We research the words and questions your customers type into Google. Then we build and refresh the pages that answer them, from service pages to town pages. Your real search data tells us where to start.
SEO Built In From the First Page
SEO starts the day we build your site. On every Starter, Standard, and Premium site we make, each page launches with a search-ready title, description, and main heading. The monthly work then builds on that base.
02SEO vs. Local SEO: Know the Difference
Organic SEO and Local SEO Are Two Different Things, and You May Need Both
This is one of the most common mix-ups we hear from local owners in Homer Glen, Bolingbrook, and Orland Park. Organic SEO and Local SEO aim at two parts of Google's results page. Each one gets there in its own way. Knowing which one you need, and why many owners need both, is the first step before you spend a dollar on SEO.
Organic SEO = The Blue Links Below the Map
Organic SEO ranks your website in the standard search results: the list of blue links below the Map Pack. Three things drive those results: your site's technical health, the quality of your content, and the trust it earns through links from other sites. Organic rankings also catch how-to searches, service comparisons, and longer, more detailed searches. That's a lot of traffic a Map Pack listing alone can't reach.
Local SEO = The Google Map Pack
Local SEO ranks your business in the Map Pack: the three listings at the top of local searches, with a map, phone number, reviews, and directions. It runs on your Google Business Profile, your listings on other sites (called citations), and how close you are to the person searching. For “near me” searches and people ready to hire, the Map Pack is where most clicks happen. That's a separate service with a different strategy.
The Businesses That Win Use Both
Run organic SEO and Local SEO together, and your business shows up across the whole results page. You're in the Map Pack and in the organic results below it. More room on that page means more eyes, more clicks, and more leads. Our Organic Growth plan covers both, so they work as one strategy built around your goals.
03Our Process
How We Build and Grow Your Organic Search Rankings
Every SEO plan starts with where you are today, then maps out where you need to go. Here's how it works, from day one through the monthly work.
01
Technical SEO Audit
Finding What's Holding You Back Before We Build
We run a full technical check of your site. We look at page speed, how the site works on phones, and whether Google can find and list every page. We also hunt for duplicate pages, broken links, and weak site structure. That tells us what's holding your rankings back before we spend a dollar on content. Fixing technical problems always comes first.
02
Keyword Research & Content Strategy
Targeting the Searches That Actually Drive Leads
We research the keywords and questions your customers search for. We sort them by what the searcher wants, how crowded the search is, and how much it could pay off. Then we build a content plan that puts the best chances first. That could mean service pages, town pages, blog posts, or growing pages you already have.
03
On-Page Optimization
Making Your Existing Pages Work Harder
Before we write anything new, we tune the pages you already have. That means the titles and descriptions Google shows, your headings, the links between your pages, and the words on each page. This gets the most out of what you already own. It can even move rankings before we publish anything new.
04
Monthly Content Refreshes and New Pages
New Pages When the Data Supports Them
Every month we tune your pages using your Google Search Console data. Every season we refresh them so they stay current. When the data shows a real chance to rank, we add 1 to 2 new pages a quarter. That could be a new service page or a page for a town you serve. We also build out pages that are close to the top. We write every page for people first and search second.
05
Monthly Reporting and Strategy Call
Keeping You Informed
At the end of each month, you get a clear report on your rankings and your leads. Then we walk through it together on a 30-minute strategy call. You'll always know what we did, what moved, and what's next.
Our Organic Growth plans pick up where your website build leaves off. Organic Growth is $1,000 a month on a site we built, or $750 a month when you're also on Paid Growth. It has its own 3-month minimum, then runs month to month. Here's what it covers.
SEO Upkeep on the Site We Built
Each month we use your Google Search Console data to tune the pages on your site. We also fix broken links, watch page speed, and keep your schema code current. And we check that Google still lists every page.
Fresh Content and New Pages
It starts with keyword research and a content plan built around your goals. We refresh your pages each season so they stay current. When the data shows a search worth winning, we add 1 to 2 new pages a quarter. We never pad your site with near-copy pages made only to rank.
Your Google Profile, Listings, and Social Posts
The plan also covers 12 Google Business Profile posts a month, profile updates, and help if your profile ever gets suspended. We clean up the top 30 relevant business listings, add missing ones within that group and check them every quarter. We post to your social media too.
Monthly Ranking & Lead Report
Every month you get a clear report on your rankings and leads, plus a 30-minute strategy call. You'll always know where things stand and what we're doing next.
05AI Search Optimization
AI Search Readiness for Local Businesses
We include AI search readiness in our SEO work.
AI search gives people another way to discover a business. Different systems choose and present sources differently, so we focus on pages that explain your services clearly and give readers useful, accurate information.
Google says its AI Overviews and AI Mode use the same SEO foundations as Search. A page must be indexed and eligible for a search snippet to appear as a supporting link. Important information should be readable as text, and any structured data should match the visible page. No special AI schema or wording formula is required, and inclusion is not guaranteed.
Our site audit checks crawl access, indexing, internal links and whether important information is readable. We also check that structured data matches the page and business details are current. Clear answers help readers understand your work. We use them for that reason, without promising an AI citation or a ranking boost.
06Expand Your Growth
Services That Work Directly Alongside SEO
Organic SEO builds rankings that last. These services make your results stronger and cover the places SEO alone doesn't reach.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) FAQs for Homer Glen & Chicagoland Businesses
Straight answers to what local owners ask us most before they start SEO.
SEO takes a while. Is it still worth it?
Yes, if you can give it time. Any honest organic SEO company will tell you it takes longer than paid ads, and we won't pretend otherwise. It's worth it because it builds on itself. A page that ranks today keeps bringing in traffic for months and years, and you don't pay for every click. Paid ads stop the moment you stop paying, but SEO builds something you own. Rankings can start to move a couple of weeks after Google re-crawls a page with big changes, but we can't promise that. Meaningful results build over 3 to 6 months and grow from there. The owners who start early are the ones who own their market later.
How is your SEO service different from your local SEO service?
They cover different parts of Google. Our SEO service ranks your website in the regular results, the list of links below the map. Our local SEO service ranks your business in the Google Map Pack, the three listings at the top with a map and a phone number. Each one uses different signals and different work. Many businesses need both, and Organic Growth covers both.
Why would I need SEO if I'm already doing Google Ads?
Because you pay for every single click. The moment your ad budget runs out or pauses, that traffic stops. SEO builds rankings that keep bringing in traffic no matter what you spend on ads. Our two plans work together. Paid Growth brings in calls now. We add Organic Growth once your site is live and leads are steady. Over time, more of your calls can come from rankings you don't pay for by the click.
How do I know if SEO is actually working?
You get a clear report every month. It shows your keyword rankings, your leads, and the pages we worked on. Then we walk you through it on a 30-minute strategy call. You can see which keywords moved, by how much, and what we did that month. There's no guessing. If something isn't moving the way we expected, we change course and tell you why.
How much should I pay for search engine optimization?
With us, SEO runs through our Organic Growth plan, and our SEO services pricing is simple. It's $1,000 a month on a site we built, or $750 a month when you're also on Paid Growth. There's a 3-month minimum, because 30 days is too short to tell you anything useful. After that, it runs month to month with 30 days' notice. It usually runs in 3-month rounds with a break to measure results, but you can also run it nonstop. The SEO basics come built into your website, which costs $1,500 to $9,500 one time, depending on its size.
Do you build SEO into the websites you make?
Yes. Every Starter, Standard, and Premium site we build launches with a search-ready title, meta description, and main heading on every page. Standard and Premium builds add a page for each service and town. Premium also adds blog content and schema markup. Paid Growth clients also get Google Analytics, Search Console, and Google Business Profile optimization at launch.
Can you do SEO on a website someone else built?
Not as a monthly plan. Organic Growth runs on websites we build, because so much of the SEO work happens while we build the site. If your current site is holding you back, we can rebuild it with SEO built in. Then we add Organic Growth once it's live. Need calls while that happens? Paid Growth can run ads during the build.
Do I need a separate service for AI search optimization?
No. We include AI search readiness in our SEO work. It covers readable pages, crawl access and accurate structured data where used. Google requires no special AI markup for AI Overviews or AI Mode. Clear content and sound SEO support eligibility, but cannot guarantee that a system will cite you.
