01 The Problem
Before the Redesign: A 10-Page Site With No Page for Any Service or Town
The old site gave Google almost nothing to rank.
The client is a landscaping company. Its team designs and builds yards, patios and other outdoor spaces. It hired us in April 2026. We designed and built its new landscaping website.
The old 10-page site used a page builder. It listed all 12 services as headings on one page. It had no town pages or code to describe its pages to search engines. Google had also listed three template pages full of filler text.
On a phone, the homepage scored 59 on PageSpeed, a site speed test. Its largest visible part took 9.6 seconds to show up.
In August and September 2025, Google ranked its 10 pages for 116 named searches. Only 14 searches without the company name averaged page one for the old site.

07 Method
How We Measured It
Two analysts pulled every figure.
Sources and definitions
- Google Search Console. Pages, searches, positions, clicks and phone impressions, August 8 to September 13 in 2025 and 2026. The 69-click figure counts the whole domain, including the Google Business Profile link.
- Google PageSpeed Insights. Mobile speed, accessibility and best practices scores for the homepage. April 19 and September 17, 2026.
- Site audits. Page counts and site structure, April 19, July 1 and September 17, 2026.
- What the terms mean. An impression is one time the site showed in a Google result. A page or search counts if it showed at least once. Average position is weighted by impressions. First page means position 10 or better, and top three means 3 or better. A brand search contains the company name, and a non-brand search does not.
08 What It Means for You
What This Means for a Landscaping Company Owner
Google can only rank pages that exist.
The fix is our Website Design service. A build like the one in this study is our Premium tier today, published at $5,500 to $9,500 for 21 to 40 or more pages. We are a marketing agency in Homer Glen. For a landscaper, marketing starts with the site.
- Give Google a page for every service and every town. This client went from zero city pages to nine and zero service pages to eleven.
- Keep the old rankings when you switch. Every ranking URL was redirected on launch day, with no downtime.
- Keep working after launch. Ongoing landscaping SEO and Google Business Profile work can help new pages climb higher.
Our Organic Growth plan covers that ongoing work. It is $1,000 a month, or $750 a month when you also run Paid Growth on a site we built.
This build also set up the Google profile, posts and business listings once. Today, posts and listings come with our Organic Growth plan, not the build.

Website Design, Premium build
$5,500 to $9,500
One fixed price for a 21 to 40 or more page site with a page for every service and town. You pay 50% when we agree on scope, 25% at review and 25% at launch.

09 Questions
Landscaping Website Design: Common Questions
What pages should a landscaping website have?
Give Google a page for every service and every town you serve. The landscaping company in this case study went from 10 pages to 86, including 9 city pages and 11 service pages. Google ranked 62 of its pages from August 8 to September 13, 2026, up from 10 on the same dates in 2025.
How do I advertise a landscaping business?
Start with a fast site, a page for each service and town, and a complete Google Business Profile. Then decide whether to pay for clicks. The landscaper in this case study ran no ads, and its new site averaged page one for 131 searches without the company name, up from 14 a year earlier.
What is a good cost per lead for a landscaping company?
A good cost per lead is one your job sizes can pay for, so judge it by the cost of each booked estimate. Clicks from your own Google rankings carry no ad cost. After this build, the landscaper's site averaged a top-three Google position for 19 searches without the company name, up from one a year earlier.
How much does a landscaping website cost?
Our published Website Design tiers run from a $700 Basic site to a $5,500 to $9,500 Premium build, the tier shown here. Ongoing SEO and Google Business Profile work is $1,000 a month on our Organic Growth plan, or $750 with Paid Growth on a site we built. With no ads and no monthly retainer, this landscaping site's homepage rose from an average Google position of 31 to 8. Both numbers cover the same five weeks a year apart.
Does a new website actually bring a landscaper more calls?
A site that ranks for more searches brings more people in from Google, and every click is a chance at a call. After this build, Google clicks to the landscaper's site rose from 30 to 40 on the same five weeks a year apart. Counting the Google Business Profile link, the site earned 69 Google clicks in those five weeks of 2026.
How long does landscaping SEO take to work?
Rankings can move within weeks of a strong launch. In the first five weeks after this landscaping site went live, Google ranked 62 of its pages, up from 10 on the same dates a year earlier. Searches without the company name that averaged page one grew from 14 to 131. Plan on months of ongoing work to keep climbing.
